She received her medical degree from University of Chicago Division of the Biological Sciences The Pritzker School of Medicine and has been in practice between 6-10 years.
InYoung Kim, MD, PhD is a board-certified dermatologist who practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology with a holistic, innovative, and evidenced-based approach.

With a PhD in Immunology focusing on the gastrointestinal immune system, she believes that the gut plays an important role in health and disease, including skin health.

In order to deliver highly personalized and quality care, she is always learning and strives to employ various modalities of treatment-- including complementary/alternative treatment, functional medicine, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, as well as the conventional Western approach.

In alignment with her vision that medicine should be individualized and integrative, she completed the one and only formal training program available in integrative dermatology for board-certified dermatologists through Learnskin. She continues to maintain her academic rigor and stays up-to-date on literature as Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Integrative Dermatology.

Her research focus in dermatology includes using florescence-guided imaging in nonmelanoma skin cancer treatment as well as improving wound healing after dermatologic surgery.

A lifetime philanthropist, much of her free time is spent on contributing to medical missions and mentoring students as a leader for the Global Medical Mission Alliance.
